Just over a week ago I was lucky enough to be in Plymouth, Devon where I watched the Armed Forces Day celebrations.
I was visiting my youngest daughter and her husband and their two years old son.
During the weekend I went down to the Hoe where I watched and admired the military celebrate Armed Forces Day. And what a spectacular weekend it was. It made me so proud to be British.
The professionalism of all of our military personnel, both lasses and lads was staggering. The pride they all displayed shone like a beacon.
All three services were represented and in true tradition they all displayed their skills developed through being members of the various branches of the military.
As well as the varying displays there were also the veterans village and the military villages. A fantastic air display on the Sunday. Live music in the evening and much, much more.
A whole weekend of demonstrations, parades, music, and static displays on show for the thousands of visitors who turned up to show their support for our Armed Forces.
