Police were called to a property in West Road, Oakham on Monday evening (20th July) where the body of a man was found. The Ambulance were called to the body of a man found in Oakham who then notified the police. Rutland Library is to Re-Open

Wednesday 22nd of July Rutland Library is to re-open allowing access for Rutland Residents to borrow books and DVDs. The library will be offering a reduced collection and drop-off service. Reduced opening hours will be 9.30am to 2-00pm on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. On Saturday the hours will be 9.30am to 1.00pm. Lockdown Rules Have Been Relaxed

On Saturday, 4th July, the lockdown rules were relaxed. Pubs, restaurants, hairdressers and cinemas will now be open for business. Also allowed to open are places of worship, libraries, galleries and museums. Weddings are also included in the relaxation of the lockdown rules. Couples can now get married with up to 30 people allowed to attend. These new rules only apply to England, including of course Rutland.
