Lockdown Rules Have Been Relaxed
On Saturday, 4th July, the lockdown rules were relaxed. Pubs, restaurants, hairdressers and cinemas will now be open for business.
Also allowed to open are places of worship, libraries, galleries and museums.
Weddings are also included in the relaxation of the lockdown rules. Couples can now get married with up to 30 people allowed to attend.
These new rules only apply to England, including of course Rutland. The UK government is only responsible for lockdown restrictions in England. Because health is a devolved matter, it means Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are responsible for their own policies in relation to public health matters.
